Kinzoo Launches in the UK, Australia and New Zealand

Vancouver, BC—February 24, 2021: Kinzoo is pleased to announce that it is now available for download in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. The app is live in both the App Store and Play Store, giving kids, parents and extended families in these regions a new way to share experiences and make memories that wouldn’t otherwise exist.

Kinzoo first launched in North America in January of 2020 with a messenger app for kids and their families. In the United States, apps built for children must comply with the Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which sets out stringent guidelines designed to keep kids safe online. Because Kinzoo has been COPPA-compliant and KidSafe-certified since the outset, the company did not need to make any major changes to comply with GDPR-K—which is the General Data Protection Regulation for children in the European Union.

“We’ve been thinking about children’s safety and wellbeing since our inception. Before we began designing or building our app, we did a great deal of work to understand how to best protect kids online,” says Sean Herman, CEO of Kinzoo. “We think as parents first, and a business second. And because safety considerations are always top-of-mind for us, it was relatively easy to comply with GDPR-K, which is considered among the most stringent privacy regulation in the world.”

In addition to its industry-leading safety features, Kinzoo is also designed to help kids get the most out of technology. Features and activities in the app put an emphasis on the brand’s three pillars of connection, creativity and cultivation. With the addition of video calling and Blip at the end of 2020, Kinzoo offers an all-in-one messaging app that parents can trust. The company is eager to hear feedback from users in these new regions—and can’t wait to launch Kinzoo in new countries around the world.
