Vancouver, BC — February 21, 2020: Kinzoo is pleased to announce that the company has won the award for Best Innovation at the Small Business BC Awards. The SBBC Awards celebrate the contributions and achievements of small businesses and entrepreneurs across the province of British Columbia.
The Best Innovation Award recognizes a business that develops innovative technologies to meet the needs of industry in the province—and creates a positive impact in their industry and community. In order to be considered for the awards, businesses must first be nominated and then make a shortlist of 10 semi-finalists based on community votes. Then, semi-finalists complete a detailed application, and a committee invites five finalists for an in-person pitch to a panel of business experts. From a pool of more than 50 nominees, Kinzoo was selected as the winner for Best Innovation. For Kinzoo, it is especially encouraging to be recognized as an innovative product that families need.
Feedback from the panel of experts was positive, with judges noting that, “Kinzoo shared a compelling founding story, emphasizing an impactful problem and demonstrable solution that is clearly innovative. Beyond the initial scope, Kinzoo shared team backgrounds, internal processes, policies and practices that demonstrate innovation is a core competency for the organization. Judges were satisfied that the team could overcome any problem to provide a solution likely to evolve beyond their current planning.”
The Kinzoo team is honored to help parents introduce their kids to the best of technology, without exposure to the worst of it. They plan to continue creating innovative ways for children to enjoy tech that prioritizes connection, creativity and cultivation of new interests—all while protecting their safety and privacy.
